The Housing Finance Fund, under SSHFC 2015 Act is mandated to provide affordable and sustainable Shelter to all Gambians by investing its own resources or borrowing money from elsewhere to undertake its Housing and Real Estate activities. Over the years, we have successfully increased the housing stock in the Gambia through our housing and real estate programmes; allowing SSHFC to make housing more affordable to the average Gambian. Currently, the national deficit in the Gambia of the number of people who need housing stands at 60,000 per annum.
SSHFC is the first Gambian institution to venture into real estate development in the country. We have over 38 years of experience with well-trained staff, who have a wealth of experience and knowledge in real estate development. SSHFC has successfully developed 7 housing estate projects, allocated to mainly Gambians of all income bracket. We are reliable and trustworthy.
One of the factors affecting the supply of adequate housing is access to land. As real estate developers, we secure land in future growth centres, put in place the required infrastructure and public amenities and then make the plots or buildings available to you at an affordable price. The SSHFC offers a number of ways for you to get land or buy our building through a mortgage or outright purchase.
